Relaxed, quiet weekend with a log fire and friends company! Thank you very much for opening your home, it was ‘amazing’. Thank you for a wonderful few days.
Lots of love. What a joy! Oh the peace!

Have had a lovely 2 weeks in the cottage. Amazed at how much wildlife we have seen; especially enjoyed the green spotted woodpeckers and a rather large hare.It made a real change from our usual 2 weeks in (busy) Southwold and shall definitely return.
Played lots of badminton in the garden, plenty of ‘al fresco’ meals and lots of relaxation.
Did walks from Snape Maltings to Iken Church and long walk from Dunwich to Walberswick and back. We would recommend both of these.

A fabulous week – thank you. Such a peaceful and tranquil setting, perfect for all of our family.
Highlights included numerous deer sighting, a green woodpecker in the garden and watching a blue tit feeding its young. Thanks again.

Wonderful place to spend a holiday. It’s our 10th wedding anniversary holiday.
What memories we shall have and will be back, hopefully with the grandchildren.
Gamekeeper’s will be recommended to friends and family.

The cottage is beautiful, in a really quiet setting. Although the weather was a big soggy, we had a lovely week. Our children (1 and 4 years) loved the garden and all the wildlife. They were very excited to wake up to deer and woodpeckers. We spent a lot of time in Southwold, digging on the beach, enjoying the old fashioned pier and having lovely fish and chips. The birdlife here is great and it was lovely to be such a short drive from the sea and Minsmere. We were really lucky to be here when the bluebells, primroses and violets were out. (Our daughter, Violet was very pleased with this!) We had such a relaxing few days and will definitely be back.

To sum up in a few words, what a restorative break this was. The cottage is so full of story and love. Suffolk countryside outstanding. Really enjoyed the bearded tit encounter at the Hen reedbeds.
No need to go anyway for wildlife though as it is all here. Beautiful Nuthatch, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Marsh Tit. We were fortunate to see the ghostly white deer at 05.20 in the garden, beautiful. Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for another unforgettable holiday in Gamekeeper’s Cottage – our 25th visit!!
We have been blessed with “wall to wall” sunshine, enabling us to explore the beautiful countryside and coastline.

Beautiful secluded house set in woodland with a great open outdoor space to enjoy the sounds of the wood. Well equipped, we found everything we needed.
Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful location just a very few miles from many good spots to visit. We are keen birders and particularly enjoyed Minsmere (of course!) and also Hen Reedbeds, Dunwich Heath and Snape Warren.
